About The Society

Pennsville Mayor Stu Belcher organized the first meeting on October 29, 1987, for residents interested in starting a organization dedicated to collecting and preserving the history of our township. On January 28, 1988, the group became official and chose their name:  The Pennsville Township Historical Society.  By June 9, 1988, PTHS was officially incorporated  as a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation of New Jersey.

The Pennsville Township Historical Society Museum is located at 86 Church Landing Road, and our Museum Complex consists of 8 buildings.
